Just 24 hours after taking office, Villette Appolos, the newly appointed departmental director of police in the South-East, carried out an inspection visit this Saturday to the Seguin sub-police station in Marigot. The early move reflects a clear intent to quickly assess operational readiness and on-the-ground security conditions.
During the visit, the senior officer reviewed the unit’s capabilities and held discussions with officers assigned to the station. In response to a recent surge in criminal activities in the area, he pledged to strengthen the sub-station. The stated objective is to restore public order and curb the activities of armed groups responsible for recent incidents.
